Is Jesus Christ the Son of God?

Image
And God said, " "This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased".    Hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions, don’t want to believe in Christianity because they don’t want to accept that Jesus is the Son of God, or believe that God himself would have a child.   But why should it matter for God to have a son or not? Even if Jesus is not the Son of God, a person should not reject Him as the Messiah or Savior.   Even if Jesus was not the son of God, no one else was sent to teach us the Gospel of love, forgiveness and the redeeming of sins---no one else.   There is no prophet or guru that can save you. If you don’t believe that Jesus is the son of God, this should not be the stumbling block that prevents you from being saved.   Don’t risk you eternal life on this self-imposed prerequisite.   It is not worth it. When I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior God guided me to this quote in the Bible after Jesus was baptised, "This is my bel

Newton Killer Found

Image
Sandy Hook Memorial, Voice of America, Public Domain Last week on Friday December 14, 2012--two weeks before Christmas, madman Adam Lanza opened fire and kill 20 angels in the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut.  Only one man is responsible for the deaths of all these innocent babies and that is Adam Lanza.  No one else!  Nonetheless, as a community of believers, we  are ALL wholly or partly responsible because we have become a complacent society. We don't want to be bothered with other people's problems and affairs.  We want these problems to take care of themselves.  Well, this horrible incident proves that they do no take care of themselves.  We as Christians should be at the forefront of preventing these violent episodes from occurring.  Many people of faith, especially Christian pastors went on the air to say that as a nation, all we need is prayer.  I totally disagree.  We need prayer and action!  If the government will take God out of the scho

Characteristics of False Religions

Image
Public Domain   In the last days, Jesus said that there would arise many false religions. Their teachings would be so convincing that they would lead many astray. In Galatians, The apostle Paul went a step further by warning us that “if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed.” I am listing some characteristics of how you can determine the true Gospel from false Gospel’s. 1. Jesus said that he did not come to change the Word of God. (Matthew 5:17) All religions that came after Jesus claim to bring new messages from God. 2. Jesus did not forbid the eating of any specific food. (Acts 10:9-15, Matthew 15:10) Other religions after Christ, command to abstain from eating many kinds of food. 3. Jesus asked his followers to be “the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:16) Many religions of today operate in secrecy or separate themselves from the world. 4. Jesus commanded his followers to love everyo

Christians Enjoy Their Life!

Prodigal Son, Public Domain Christianity is the Best Because: Our Converts Don’t Get Killed Christianity is better than any other faith in the planet for many reasons. One of those reasons is that if a person decides not to believe in Jesus Christ ---that person will not be physically killed. Other major religions explicitly order the killing of the one who leave their faith. Not Christianity! Christians will feel sad, but they will not persecute the one that leaves. Christians will always pray and hope that their brother or sister returns. Christians have a great example in the story of the Prodigal Son found in Luke 15:11-32. After the rich man’s son goes away from home, the Father is always hopeful that his son will return. And when he comes back, the Bible says that a l l the angels in heaven rejoice for the return of one lost sheep. The Bible is so incredible. So full of love, hope and peace. No other religion in the world has the same kind of teachings that the Bible ha

Congress Goes Sexting Crazy!

Image
What Happened to Forgiveness?? United States Congress, Public Domain This week two major scandals brokeout. One involved House Rep. Anthony Weiner, who sent lewd photographs of himself to others through Twitter; and Tracy Morgan, the comedian, who made a 'homophobic' statement. What these two celebrities did is bad. They both demonstrated a lack of common sense and tact. But what is worst is the reaction of the nation. Hate is spreading like wildfire in the United States. It seems as if the whole nation is demanding for Weiner to resign, and to be criminally prosecute. Gay rights activitits are demanding that Tracy Morgan be fired from his job, in a country founded by the premise of "freedom of speech". They have both apologized profusely. They both have admited they made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. Everybody lies! The people that want these men to be burned at the stake are far from perfect. What is happening to our nation? Love and forgiveness is be

Not Ashamed of the Gospel!!

Alabama State Government, Public Domain I ain't White. And I don't believe that Governor Robert Bentley of Alabama is racist for his most recent eye-popping comments he made inside a Church. All those people that are saying he is racist and a throwback to the racism experienced in Alabama during the Civil Rights Era are full of rubbish.. He said: "anybody here today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I'm telling you, you're not my brother and you're not my sister, and I want to be your brother." What he meant to say is that we are not spiritual brothers and sisters. It's true! He does not hate non-Christians just because they don't believe in Jesus Christ. Does it sound harsh? To those that don't ever want to accept God's ever redeeming love through Jesus Christ, of course it sounds harsh. But Jesus Christ said the same thing himself when his family was looking for him when He was preaching. In the book of Mark 3:3

Chuck Colson is Dead...

Image
Public Domain, White House Photo Chuck Colson, controversial Water Gate figure and evangelical lightning rod is dead.  He died today of a brain ailment.  It is sad.  For many reasons.  Although he claimed to have converted to Christianity right after he was thrown in jail for his involvement with Richard Nixon, I'm not sure if he truly converted.  A few years before his death, Colson performed two very devious actions that tarnished his conversion---in my opinion.  First, he was one of the five 'evangelical leaders' that sent a letter to George Bush for going to war with Iraq.  In the so called "Land Letter"  he justified the preemptive strike against Iraq where thousands of lives were lost and millions of souls affected.  And second, when ever he spoke about legalizing immigration he always vilified the immigrants.  A true Christian would have never done any of those two things.  Perhaps that is why it took him a long time to go right after surgery...He d

Why Good Friday?

Image
"The Kiss of Judas" by Gustave Dore, Public Domain Why do Christians celebrate Good Friday? And what are the implications of today? First of all, many people who do not believe in Christ or Christianity have a hard time accepting that God would willingly sacrifice his son to save the world. Jesus Christ was crucified under the charge of blasphemy because he equated himself on par with God. And unfortunately even today, it is the ultra religious zealots that are willing to kill anyone who in their view perform sacriligeous acts. So the world has not changed much since the day of Christ. As a matter of fact it is probably worse. Why so much violence by seemingly pious people? What drives their hate? Or who do they think they get their authority to threatened or kill people who oppose their views? Would God even care about an insignificant human trying to defend Him? Of course not. It does not make sense. Jesus Christ was crucified regardless of what you might have heard or lea

Trayvon Martin: American Son

Image
Anupam Kamal, Feb. 2010. Public Domain It was terrible to hear about the death of Trayvon Martin. A young teenager shot dead for issues that are still been cleared. Nonetheless, there has been a massive uproar. Thousands have don hoodies to protest what they perceive to be a racist death. As terrible as his death has been it is just as alarming that people are very quick to jump into judgement. The media was the number one instigator. As soon as it was revealed that a white man had killed a black teenager who only had Skittles and ice tea, everyone was quick to judge. No one bothered to slow down a bit to assess the situation. As of this writing it is becoming clearer that Treyvon had a sketchy pass. He had been suspended a couple of times from school, his father was living with his girlfriend at the time of his death, and his Twitter account left much to be desired. Where were his parents? The fact that his father had a live in girlfriend says a lot. That is not normal for any youn

Christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani sentenced to death in Iran

Image
Iran, by Argooya, public domain It is NOT right! Earlier this week the justice system of Iran announced that Christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani had been officially sentenced to death in Iran. This is very grave news. This means that he can be executed without notice. He may still be alive right now, but he may also be dead. He has been charged with apostasy for being a Christian. In truth, the Iranian government just wanted an excuse to arrest him and convict him simply because he was the pastor of a church that was 100,000 members strong. Why hasn't the State the Department or the White House spoken more loudly than just writing one paragraph condemning his sentenced? Why is it that Muslims themselves have not come out to speak against this evil? In the past I have spoken to many peace-loving Muslims who would never agreed to this verdict. But I have not heard from them either. The truth of the matter is that the world hates the name of Jesus Christ and His sincere follow
