Aretha Franklin: Gone but Not Forgotten

I was also exposed to her music when she sang "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)"  with George Michael.  They made a great duet.  It is so sad to see her go. She had a great voice. President Trump today said her voice was "God given".  I cannot agree more. I heard today while watching Fox News that she also sang at Dr. Martin Luther King's funeral.  She was a true Civil Rights leader.  And who can forget her song, "Respect"?  It was a song for the times when African-Americans experienced discrimination at a great degree.
