Manny Pacquaio: Public Enemy #1

I can't believe what people are saying about Manny Pacquaio--multi-time champion of the boxing world. Recently he said some disparaging remarks about gays and when a petition got started for Nike to drop him as a sponsor--they did so with less than 4,000 signatures.  Another petition in support of Manny as of this writing shows over 14,000 signatures.

I will be the first one to say that if you have nothing good to say don't say it.  Yet, his critics are going bananas to paint him as public enemy #1 simply for stating his opinion.  They have branded him a bigot and a homophobe.  Yet, those that are criticizing him are spewing their own brand of hate and bigoted remarks.

Manny has come along way to redeem himself.  It is amazing to me how he has a full schedule, boxes several times a year, is a senator in his home country of the Philippines, is a pastor and recently donated millions of dollars of his own money to build homes for the poor.

It was just his opinion.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  This whole thing of being politically correct and mad campaigns to silence voices has got to stop.  Manny is not physically hurting people or condoning hate towards gays.  I'm sure he has a lot of gay friends and gay admirers.  He may even have gay relatives.  The minority are just loud and the majority need to speak louder against this politically correct world.  The bible says that in the last days people will get easily offended and be lovers of themselves.  We are living in these times and the outcry of people attacking Manny for his comments shows that the end of the world as we know it is very near.  It shows, as the bible stated that Jesus Christ is coming very soon.

God is separating the sheep from the goats.  Christians and people of faith need to speak up to.  They need to stand up and defend people who stand for righteousness.   Should Christians boycott brands that will vilify them just for speaking out?  What do you guys think?  Should Manny be turned into an enemy of the people, or is he still a hero?  Please comment and share.  Thanks.
